I love our National Parks. Even the smallest of them showcase the beauty America has to offer. They are a treasure that should be protected by everyone. Living on the East Coast, I don’t have as easy access to the parks as I wish, so I had to make the most of this trip out West. While Yellowstone was my main stop, I fell in love with many of the other beautiful places along the way – even in the midst of wildfires.

The total number of days of this road trip was 19 days, 18 nights – the longest road trip I’ve ever taken. If I had to do it again, I would make it even longer so that I could have more time at the Grand Teton National Park and a day here or there (probably in either Coeur D’Alene or McCall because of the lake access) to do nothing and just regroup from all the adventures.
Drive times include all side trips I added in between the two base cities.
