I knew I liked pierogi before I went to Poland, but I didn’t know much else. I left Poland with a better understanding of Poland’s strength. The last century has brought a lot of turmoil for Poland, but its people’s resilience, community, and heart has pulled them through it all. Instead of wiping the slate clean after bombings, Polish cities has rebuilt their infrastructure with history in mind. They value tradition, culture, and community.
