When I was looking at colleges, Villanova was on my short list, so even though I didn’t end up going there, Pennsylvania has always felt familiar. While I haven’t actually spent a lot of time exploring the state, I’ve spent a lot of time driving through it. The 6 hours it took me to drive across the state to Pittsburgh was one of the most harrowing drives of my life – narrow 2 lane highway populated with big rig trucks going up and down the mountains. I was gripping the wheel the whole time. Still, the city of Pittsburgh made the drive worth it.
